Patient Tie-in System
For many years the accepted method for securing a patient in a litter was improvised internal and external lashings using one-inch tubular web. Critical patient-packaging time could be lost and often the finished lashing was either too tight or too loose. Looking for a quicker and more secure way, we developed our Patient Tie-In System after testing a variety of prototypes in CMC Rescue School classes. The refined product weighs less, is quick and secure, and can be easily adjusted to meet the patient’s requirements for comfort. The available pelvic harness supports the patient’s weight when the litter is placed in a head-up position. Available for a one-piece or two-piece litter and can be used with the pelvic harness system or for a patient on a backboard. Color-coded web helps keep the system organized.
418-1 Adjustable Lifting Bridle
The Adjustable Lifting Bridle features locking steel carabiners made for attachment to lifting points. The carabiner's welded-in retaining bar prevents separation from the bridle webbing. Patient Cover
The Traverse Rescue Patient Cover protects the patient from rain, wind, sleet and snow while still giving easy access through the double zipper centre opening to monitor the patient’s condition or treat their injuries. Made from coated nylon and held in place by an elastic rim and Velcro attachment straps, the Patient Cover can be rolled up and stuffed into it’s own storage pouch which can be attached to the stretcher with the Velcro attachment strap. Patient Cover with Handles
The Traverse Rescue Patient Cover protects the patient from rain, wind, sleet, and snow while still giving easy access through the double zipper center opening to monitor the patient’s condition or treat their injuries. Patient and Cot Cover
The Ferno Patient/Stretcher Cover protects bedding, equipment and will keep patients dry in inclement weather.
It is made from lightweight, coated nylon the cover contains a dual zip that opens from both ends to access patient or equipment. The cover can be rolled or folded and stuffed into its self-contained storage pouch which can be attached to the stretcher with the integral Velcro attachment straps.
The Ferno Patient/Stretcher Cover has a full length, elasticized rim and outer Velcro straps that allows it to be fitted to any cot or basket stretcher or patient.
Traverse 2-in-1 Blanket and Pillow
The blanket is made of extremely lightweight fleece and is washable for a limited number of uses.

Litter Shield

A quick-release pin allows the shield to be completely removed when necessary. This lower-profile version makes storage easier, but does not provide as much clearance for the patient’s face as the Litter Shield Plus, see below. Each Litter Shield requires a railing clamp.

Split-Apart Litter Shoulder Harness
The Split-Apart Shoulder Harness is versatile and can be attached to the Traverse Rescue Split Apart litters for safer foot travel across rough terrain. It is constructed using vinyl coated woven polyester scrim/mesh. The harness includes nylon webbing, plastic side release buckles and padded shoulder and waist straps.
Sherpa Litter Shoulder Harness
The Sherpa Litter Shoulder Harness is adjustable in length for an individual fit and is designed to allow a rescuer to distribute the weight of a rescue load between their upper body and arm for an easier and more ergonomical carry. The Sherpa Harness can be used on its own or in con-junction with our Traverse Rescue Litter Handles.
Lifting Strap for Backboard
For rescue professionals, most back injuries occur while lifting. The lifting handles will attach to any rescue litter or backboard and reduces the amount of bending when lifting, by adding approximately 30 cm to the lifting point, thus lessening back strain, eliminating awkward lifting angles, and minimizing abrasions on the hands and knuckles.

The Traverse Rescue Litter Cover protects the basket stretcher from the environmental elements, whether you store it on the top of your rescue vehicle or on a job site. It is designed with ample room to allow for the storage of backboards, splints, blankets and other stretcher accessories and comes with 6 reinforced carry handles and two compression straps.
SKED-EVAC Tripod Carrying Case
Vinyl transport bag for storing and carrying your SKED-EVAC® Tripod (SK-700). Features heavy duty vinyl coated nylon material and an extra long zipper along it’s full length and across it’s ends to facilitate easy repackaging. It has a pocket inside in the center to store the bag of chain which comes with the tripod, preventing the chain from sliding to one end when the tripod is carried. There are handles in the center and on each end of the bag. This bag has a 9″ diameter and a 7’1″ length, and will make nearly any brand of tripod easier to carry.
SKED-EVAC Aluminum Cobra Buckle Conversion Kit
Skedco now offers a complete conversion kit that includes six patented AustriAlpin Cobra™ quick release buckles. These lightweight aluminum side-release buckles are dependable and strong enough to meet the needs of securing a patient into a Sked® stretcher without the danger of breakage. The buckles are rated at 3,000 lbs. and are difficult to release while under tension. By using the Cobra buckle system, you will no longer have to weave the webbing through the buckles when packaging a patient, therefore patient packaging is often done in about half of the time as when using the original steel buckles. The Cobra buckle straps girth-hitch onto the Sked stretcher for quick and easy installation.
SKEDCO Oregon Spine Splint II
Developed by Skedco for use with the Sked Stretcher, the OSS II fits inside a rolled up stretcher. Skedco states “the OSS II is the safest, most effective vest-type extrication and immobilization device available today.” Includes a shoulder board that prevents compression of a patient in a Sked stretcher. Excellent immobilization of the head and cervical spine, and when used with the Sked, functions as a long spine board. Built to last under rugged conditions. Can be cleaned with common bleach solutions. X-ray translucent. Instructions included.
Traverse Flotation Collar
