Fire Escape Harness

Designed to be worn during fire ground operations, the Fire Escape Harness uses Kevlar® brand fiber web for high heat and flame resistance and can be worn over bunker pants without compromising firefighter safety. If done with care, the harness can be left on over the pants when they are stored, so it can be donned simultaneously. The new, improved design is one size fits most. The soft connection loop in front stays out of the way when not in use and easily accepts carabiners or large snap hooks. CMC Rescue recommends using the turnout manufacturer’s approved belt loop and keepers to ensure the harness remains in place when the gear is stored.

PETZL I’D L Belay Device

The I’D L self-braking descender is primarily designed for rescue. It has an ergonomic handle that allows comfortable descent control. The integrated anti-panic function and anti-error catch limit the risk of an accident due to user error. The AUTO-LOCK system allows users to position themselves without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The safety gate allows the rope to be installed with the device remaining connected to the harness. I’D L is compatible with 12.5 to 13 mm ropes and allows handling of loads up to 280 kg.

PETZL MAESTRO Descender

MAESTRO L and MAESTRO S are descenders designed for technical rescue operations. It facilitates manipulation of heavy loads, for lowering or hauling, and may be used in both the primary system or in a back-up belay. This versatility allows rescuers to adapt to any situation they may encounter on the rescue scene. The ergonomic handle and integrated brake allow for comfortably controlled descent. Shifting from lowering position to hauling position is immediate, without the need to transfer the load. The integrated progress-capture pulley has a large diameter sheave mounted on sealed ball bearings, ensuring excellent hauling efficiency. The AUTO-LOCK system automatically locks the rope when the handle is not in use. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The MAESTRO L descender is compatible with 12.5 to 13 mm ropes and allows handling of loads up to 280 kg. The MAESTRO S descender is compatible with 10.5 to 11.5 mm ropes and allows handling of loads up to 250 kg.

AZTEK Pro Series LT System

Originally developed by Reed Thorne of Arizona-based Ropes That Rescue, the AZTEK (Arizona Technician’s Edge Kit) is used globally and offers more than 100 rigging solutions in a bag. As one of the most versatile tools used in rope rescue, the system reflects the philosophy of keeping rigging equipment simple, efficient, non-specialized, light and small. The design of the CMC AZTEK ProSeries LT System (Load Tender) leaves no detail ignored. The more compact ‘LT’ version of the AZTEK offers 28 feet of 8 mm AZTEK ProSeries Cord that can extend the set-of-fours up to 6 feet, providing a 4:1 or 5:1 mechanical advantage with a minimum breaking strength (MBS) of 38 kN (8,542 lbf). The LT system includes (2) ProTech Aluminum Auto-Lock Carabiners w/ removable keeper pin – 29 kN (6,519 lbf) for attaching to the swivel ends. (Note: Included carabiners must be installed by the user and are UL Classified to NFPA 1983 – Technical Use)

With its 5.5-10 ft working height, additional CE certifications, and accessible features, the Triskelion delivers greater safety and efficiency for confined space and industrial rescues.

SKED-EVAC Industrial Tripod

Manufactured by Skedco, makers of the Sked® Stretcher, the Sked-EVAC tripod features aircraft-grade, gold-anodized aluminum legs and a cast-aluminum head. Three heavy-duty rigging anchors, located in the center, have exceptionally large holes for easy attachment. Legs adjust in 5-in (127-mm) increments for a maximum height of 10 ft (3 m) and a minimum length for transport of 7 ft (2.1 m). The cast ladder feet swivel and come with a choice of a sure-grip rubber pad or a point for imbedding in a soft or slippery surface. Holes in the feet allow the tripod to be bolted into position. A safety chain prevents leg movement and adjusts with a screw link. The optional Winch Bracket connects DBI/Sala Salalift II Winch or SRL to a Sked-EVAC Tripod.
