MPD (Multi-Purpose Device)

The MPD allows you to go from lowering to raising without changing hardware. More than nine years of research and development went into the patented Multi-Purpose Device (MPD), which features major innovations in advanced technical hardware for rope rescue professionals. The MPD’s high-efficiency pulley, with an integral rope-grab mechanism, allows it to be used as a lowering device on the main line and belay line systems and be quickly changed over to a raising system without switching out or replacing hardware. The combination of essential features into a single device simplifies on-scene rigging, expediting the rescue.

PETZL ASAP Mobile Fall Arrester

The ASAP LOCK mobile fall arrester is designed to facilitate handling during rope ascents. In normal use, the device moves freely along the rope without any manual intervention and follows the user in all his/her movements. In the event of a shock load or sudden acceleration, the fall arrester locks on the rope and stops the user. The integrated locking function allows the user to immobilize the device in order to reduce the potential fall distance. The connection arm makes the system drop-resistant when passing intermediate anchors. The ASAP LOCK is used with an ASAP’SORBER or ASAP’SORBER AXESS energy absorber to work at a distance from the rope.

ProSeries Aluminum Key-Lock Carabiners

The Most Advanced General-Use Rescue Carabiner on the Market. Patented Rescuers working in the most demanding circumstances will appreciate our ProSeries Aluminum Carabiners, the first aluminum carabiners to meet NFPA strength requirements for general use. Combining high performance with minimum weight, these carabiners significantly reduce the weight of a rescuer’s gear while maintaining the highest possible margin of safety. The patented key-lock design eliminates snagging when removing the carabiner from your harness, and a redesigned gate provides a full 1.1 inch (28 mm) opening on the standard size version and a 2.1 inch (53 mm) opening on the XL version. Gate choices include the traditional Screw-Lock, our easy-to-open-with-one-hand Auto-Lock and our innovative Manual-Lock. Both of the XL carabiners have a removable keeper pin.

Protech Aluminum Key-Lock Carabiners

Patented NFPA 1983 2012 Edition Ideal for rescue and rope access, this anodized carabiner’s patented key-lock design does not hang up when unclipping from your harness or web. An optimized D-shape maximizes its strength, and its wide gate opening fits over 1-inch (25 mm) diameter railings, unusual for a carabiner this compact and light. Safety indicators etched on the gate augment easy one-hand operation. Manual-Lock and Auto-Lock versions are available with a removable keeper pin for use with lanyards or for terminating escape or RIT lines. Every carabiner is proof loaded. Serial numbers on every carabiner.

PETZL AM’D H-Frame Carabiner

The Am'D asymmetrical aluminum carabiner has a D shape best suited for connecting a belay system or for holding equipment. Its ergonomics and Keylock system facilitate manipulations, even when wearing gloves. The Am'D carabiner is available in three locking system versions: manual SCREW-LOCK system, or  TWIST-LOCK systems.

Stainless Steel Carabiner

The Most Corrosion-Resistant Carabiner Available Patented 100% Stainless Steel ANSI-Certified Version Available If you work in some of the toughest conditions imaginable and need a carabiner that is ready to perform no matter how harsh the environment, this is the model you’ve been waiting for. Made of 100% stainless steel, including internal parts such as pins and springs, this carabiner is compact enough to operate easily with one hand and has a side-swing gate. The non-ANSI version will fit over a standard litter rail. The key-lock design eliminates snagging, and the three-stage auto-locking gate has a visual locking indicator. Ours is the only stainless carabiner with the highest NFPA strength rating—General Use. Every carabiner is proof loaded.

CMC Swivels

Our anodized aluminum swivels are available in two sizes to allow users to select the strength, weight and dimensions best suited to their specific needs. Whether used in a rescue haul system, helicopter operations, or rope access, the addition of a swivel can help prevent system lines from wrapping around each other, while at the same time reducing spin caused by loading a free-hanging rope. Rescue Swivel – Lightweight and high strength, this standard-size swivel for litter systems features symmetrical holes to accommodate multiple carabiners. High-speed, multi-axis CNC machining delivers a full-featured swivel at a reduced price for the best value in the industry. ProSeries® Swivel – Designed to repeatedly perform at high loads, this larger swivel’s special bearing supports a much higher working load than other swivels without damage to the bearing — perfect for heavy system loads. The larger size makes it compatible with helicopter short haul line equipment.
