Flat Web

We’ve been using our one-inch flat web in our rescue classes for several years and it’s proven to be an excellent performer. While not all flat webs will hold knots securely, the CMC Rescue Flat Webbing has been specifically selected for the suppleness necessary to allow knots to be set securely. Flat web also tends to be easier to untie after a heavy load than the softer tubular web. While the flat web is bulkier than the tubular, it does provide a significantly higher strength. Available by the foot or roll. NOTE Industry standards allow for up to three sections per roll.

Tubular Webbing

Mil-Spec Needle Loom Nylon Web After thorough investigation, which included reviewing web construction, manufacturer’s tests, and performing our own field evaluations, it has been determined that the mil-spec needle loom web we now offer is comparable in strength and abrasion resistance to the previous-generation shuttle loom (spiral weave) web. All one-inch web is sold by the foot, with a maximum spool length of 300′. Our red #200203 two-inch web is sold by the 150′ (50-yard) spool. Note: Military standards allow for up to three sections per spool.

AZ Bound-Loop Prusiks

Years of development, testing and fine tuning has made our Prusik cord a preferred choice by rescue schools, agencies and rescuers alike. Our sewn Prusiks offer unmatched performance—with strength equivalent to a tied Prusik loop, just without the cumbersome knot. The factory-sewn SecureStitch is covered with durable clear shrink tubing that allows regular inspection and helps protect the stitching for longer life. Some rescuers prefer a bound-loop style Prusik for cinching the attachment bight around the carabiner to help snug the Prusik to the connector. Our AZ Bound-Loop Prusiks are identical to our Sewn Loop Prusiks except that the shrink tube captures both sides of the loop while allowing adjustment.

Sewn-Loop Prusiks

Years of development, testing and fine tuning has made our Prusik cord a preferred choice by rescue schools, agencies and rescuers alike. Our Sewn-Loop Prusiks offer unmatched performance—with strength equivalent to a tied Prusik loop, just without the cumbersome knot. The factory-sewn SecureStitchTM is covered with durable clear shrink tubing that allows regular inspection and helps protect the stitching for longer life. These loops are produced with our 8mm Prusik cord.

Ladder Line

Our Ladder Line’s spun polyester sheath provides a secure grip with or without gloves, wet or dry. Excellent resistance to UV, rot and mildew extends its service life. Splice or use our Halyard Clamp for easy installation. White with a red tracer. Rope is sold by the foot. Please contact customer support for maximum length available. NFPA 1931 specifies an MBS of 825 lbf for halyards

Prusik Cord & Load Release Hitch Cord

The most important attribute of a cord used for Prusik hitches is consistency in handling, diameter and strength. Once you have determined the Prusik hitch that works best on your host rope, you want the same performance every time you replace it.

Redi-Line Throwline

An excellent choice for shore-based responders, this cost-effective polypropylene line features hollow-braid construction, which makes it easy to handle and stuff into throw bags. Its red/white stripe is highly visible in or out of the water. With life-safety equipment this reasonably priced, you can afford to have a throwline in every patrol car, municipal truck or fire apparatus. Rope is sold by the foot. Please contact customer support for maximum length available.
Throwlines: A Safe Choice A throwline bag is the safest way to reach a subject in fast-moving or still water. It provides a downstream safety backup when rescuers must enter the water. Throwbags should be kept in patrol cars, ambulances, and other emergency response vehicles.

Reflective Rit Line

We’ve improved the already high visibility of our Technora and polyester RIT Line by adding a strand of highly reflective 3M tape. The Technora strands provide high strength in adverse conditions. The line is supple enough to pack easily, but firm enough to feel against the floor when following it in low-visibility conditions when wearing gloves. Technora chars at 900° F (482° C). Polyester melts at 480° F (249° C). Rope is sold by the foot. Please contact Customer Support for maximum length available.

Shrink Tubing

Clear tubing protects labels on the end of ropes. Slide over the label and use a safe heat source to shrink the tubing securely to the rope. Sold by the foot.

Edge Guards

Protect your rope with tough #4 duck canvas and a layer of vinyl coated polyester. Our Edge Guards close with a two-inch strip of hook-and-loop. A strong web loop lets you anchor the Edge Guard to keep it in place. (We do not use grommets as a moving rope can abrade a grommet enough to create a sharp edge.) Use an Edge Guard to protect anchor ropes and webbing as well as your rescue ropes.   Working-At-Height / Industrial Rope Access / Technical Rope Rescue Working at height requires reliable, quality equipment. Edge Guards can be used with confidence in work-at-height maneuvers for industrial rope access or technical rope rescue when used in accordance with the regulatory safety standards under which they fall. Always use life safety equipment and gear according to the regulatory safety standards for which it is classified and/or certified.

Edge Pad

Our heavy-duty edge pad, made from rugged 24-oz #4 canvas protects ropes from abrasion and helps keep them clean, increasing their life. It also reduces the amount a rope digs into a soft edge, such as the berm of a road. Our improved design replaces metal grommets and uses strong integrated corner web loops that allow for anchoring in place when needed. The pads also feature a set of additional offset web loops, allowing overlap when joining two or more pads to extend coverage. Pads work well over most edges and also protects when wrapped around trees, rails and beams.

Ultra-Pro Edge Protectors

A CMC Rescue Exclusive The most sought-after edge protection available features super slick, high-performance material that not only protects your rope from sharp or rough edges, but also greatly reduces friction. The Ultra-Pro is lighter and easier to transport than edge rollers or similar devices and its lower profile avoids tipping often encountered with taller devices. It conforms to the edge, and prevents sharp bends in the rope. Protectors are available in two sizes: the Ultra-Pro 2 is for two ropes, and the Ultra-Pro 4 accepts four ropes. Carabiner holes in all four corners allow the Ultra-Pro to be tied off for safety or linked together for extended protection.
