CMC Harkens Clutch

Introducing the all-new CLUTCH, the latest evolution in rescue and rope access hardware that enables the technical rope professional to do more with less. This multi-purpose device was designed and engineered in collaboration by two companies with a collective 90 year history in rope management under heavy loads: CMC, a company with roots in rescue and rope access, and Harken Industrial, a manufacturing company with roots in high performance sailing. Suited to a multitude of rigging operations, the CLUTCH delivers efficient operation, ease of use, and optimal control. It moves seamlessly between anchor-based systems and personal use, offering unmatched versatility for the rope technician. With the CLUTCH, more is possible.

CMC LEVR Escape System

The all-new LEVR™ Descender The Most Compact Escape System Available. Designed to assure rapid emergency egress with safe, controllable descent. Built around the new CMC LEVR descender, a next-generation device that uses its lever-shaped handle for improved descent control, fast and easy horizontal pay-out, reliable edge transition, and intuitive operation.  The lower-profile LEVR System includes 50 feet of proprietary CMC Fire Escape Web, made of 100% Technora® fiber for strength and durability when exposed to heat and flame. The Web System’s flame- and temperature-resistant components also include new Flash.2™ Escape Anchor and the LEVR descender, all compactly organized into a durable Fire Escape Bag constructed of Nomex® fabric.

CSR2 Pulley System

The patented locking mechanism in our updated CSR2 Pulley is easy to release under load, creating much greater efficiency with the lowering and raising necessary to a confined space rescue. The machined aluminum swivels at both ends of the system eliminate any potential twisting of the lines. This system is also an excellent choice for confined space entry or rope access work where a heavy-duty pulley system is desired. Systems are UL Classified to NFPA 1983 (2012 ED) – General Use.

CMC ProSwivel Pulleys

The CMC ProSwivel Pulleys combine a swivel and pulley into one tool with a unique sideplate that opens while the pulley is still attached to the anchor. Teaming up with Rock Exotica, CMC now offers more swivel pulleys certified to NFPA standards. Our renamed and expanded ProSwivel line includes eight pulleys to choose from. You can pick the best CMC ProSwivel Pulley for the job, going bigger when you need more efficiency.

ProTech Pulleys

Ideal for mountain rescue, swift water, ski patrol, tower work or other technical uses, where equipment weight is a significant consideration, these lightweight, full-strength Prusik-minding pulleys feature extremely low-profile stainless steel hardware to reduce snagging on rocks, roots, and uneven surfaces. By machining the side plates, the thickness of the metal can be optimized to maximize the strength-to-weight ratio, a process that cannot be done with the traditional bent metal side plates. The unique axle assembly delivers a smooth side plate and impressive strength.

HD Pulleys

No detail has been overlooked in our redesign of the ProSeries Pulleys. Built workhorse tough to deliver years of dependable service.

MPD (Multi-Purpose Device)

The MPD allows you to go from lowering to raising without changing hardware. More than nine years of research and development went into the patented Multi-Purpose Device (MPD), which features major innovations in advanced technical hardware for rope rescue professionals. The MPD’s high-efficiency pulley, with an integral rope-grab mechanism, allows it to be used as a lowering device on the main line and belay line systems and be quickly changed over to a raising system without switching out or replacing hardware. The combination of essential features into a single device simplifies on-scene rigging, expediting the rescue.

ProSeries Aluminum Key-Lock Carabiners

The Most Advanced General-Use Rescue Carabiner on the Market. Patented Rescuers working in the most demanding circumstances will appreciate our ProSeries Aluminum Carabiners, the first aluminum carabiners to meet NFPA strength requirements for general use. Combining high performance with minimum weight, these carabiners significantly reduce the weight of a rescuer’s gear while maintaining the highest possible margin of safety. The patented key-lock design eliminates snagging when removing the carabiner from your harness, and a redesigned gate provides a full 1.1 inch (28 mm) opening on the standard size version and a 2.1 inch (53 mm) opening on the XL version. Gate choices include the traditional Screw-Lock, our easy-to-open-with-one-hand Auto-Lock and our innovative Manual-Lock. Both of the XL carabiners have a removable keeper pin.

Protech Aluminum Key-Lock Carabiners

Patented NFPA 1983 2012 Edition Ideal for rescue and rope access, this anodized carabiner’s patented key-lock design does not hang up when unclipping from your harness or web. An optimized D-shape maximizes its strength, and its wide gate opening fits over 1-inch (25 mm) diameter railings, unusual for a carabiner this compact and light. Safety indicators etched on the gate augment easy one-hand operation. Manual-Lock and Auto-Lock versions are available with a removable keeper pin for use with lanyards or for terminating escape or RIT lines. Every carabiner is proof loaded. Serial numbers on every carabiner.
