AZORP Kit (Arizona Omni Rigging Pod)

The newest companion to the Arizona Vortex, the AZORP (Arizona Omni Rigging Pod) allows even greater versatility to the AZV system. The AZORP was developed by Reed Thorne and has undergone extensive testing and rigging applications with Ropes That Rescue around the world. This two-in-one rigging pod is a welcome addition to the AZV lineup and combines the versatility of having two component halves that can be used in combination, or separately, at different positions on the inner or outer AZV legs. Machined from one solid block of T-6 aluminum, it delivers superior strength with a sleek and simple design without using welds. The inner and outer AZORP pods can also be used together as a two-flange rigging pod in combination with an AZV leg compression member. The AZORP Storage Bag features a quick-draw closure and an external carabiner loop. The main compartment has a separate sewn-in pocket to hold the AZORP quick pins. Constructed of tough, water-resistant 1,000-denier CORDURA® nylon.

Anchor Plate

A Classic CMC Innovation A CMC original design that has withstood the test of time, our Anchor Plates keep the carabiners holding the different parts of your rescue system from jamming together. The hardware becomes easier to see, making safety checks more accurate. It can also keep you from clipping a carabiner into the wrong loop of the anchor web. For anchor systems, it makes an excellent collection point. We use the Anchor Plate in CMC Rope Rescue classes, which allows our students to set up systems faster with fewer mistakes. Hole diameters: small – 7/8 in (22 mm), large – 2 in (51 mm).

Micro-Anchor Plate

When weight and size are an issue, such as in mountain rescue and special operations packs, river rescue gear bags, or rope access work, the ultra-compact, light, anodized aluminum Micro-Anchor Plate is the right choice. The large hole acts as a collection point for multi-point anchors. The small holes keep carabiners separated, making them easier to work with when the system is loaded, and the oblong shape makes inserting carabiners easier and quicker. Hole diameters: small – 5/8 in (16 mm), large – 1 in (25 mm).

Anchor Strap

Anchor straps have a tough job, and see a lot of wear and tear. Over the years, we’ve learned that cuts and abrasion are the greatest threats to their safety and service life. To dramatically increase both, our Anchor Straps now feature two layers of the same durable mil-spec, resin-coated nylon web. Sewn by our highly skilled workers who make our rescue harnesses, our Anchor Straps feature forged steel D-rings individually proof loaded and sized for easy choker (girth-hitch) configuration when desired. Sewn-on web keeper allows for improved organization when stowed. Use our sized Anchor Strap Sleeves for added edge and abrasion protection. Note: We recommend using a Delta Quick Link connector (part #382121) to prevent possible tri-axile loading of a carabiner when used in a basket configuration.
